Privacy Policy (GDPR)

How we handle personal data when you visit or use NordLabs services.

1) Data controller

The data controller for this project is the project owner located in Kristianstad, Sweden. Contact: alex@nordlabs.dev.

2) What we collect

  • No accounts with us (currently): We do not operate our own user accounts right now.
  • Server and security logs: When you connect to services (for example the Minecraft server), servers may log technical data such as IP address, timestamps, requested hostnames, and user agent/connection details for security and troubleshooting.
  • No analytics: We do not run Google Analytics or similar tracking analytics at this time.
  • No contact form: There is no built-in contact form on these services right now.
Log retention (Minecraft): Logs related to the Minecraft service are generally kept for up to 30 days, unless we need to keep specific entries longer to investigate abuse, attacks, or technical incidents.

3) Why we process data (legal bases)

Under GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): operating, securing, and maintaining services, preventing abuse, and debugging incidents.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) where applicable: if a law requires us to keep or disclose specific information.

4) Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited technical data with infrastructure providers strictly to run the services.

  • Hosting / infrastructure: Hetzner (reverse proxies and hosting of VA-related infrastructure).
  • Network / security layer: Cloudflare may be used for DNS and/or protective networking features (depending on configuration).
  • Third-party platform (Trucky): Any account/login you use in Trucky is handled by Trucky under their own policies and terms.
  • Community: Discord is used for community purposes; Discord’s data processing is governed by Discord’s policies.

5) International transfers

This is a global project and some service providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, it’s typically based on provider safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms (depending on the provider).

6) Your GDPR rights

If GDPR applies to you, you may have rights including: access, rectification, deletion, restriction, objection, and data portability. To exercise rights, contact alex@nordlabs.dev.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Sweden, the supervisory authority is IMY (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten).

7) Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect services and data (for example: access control, monitoring for abuse, and basic infrastructure security practices). No online service is risk-free, so please avoid sending sensitive information through community channels.

8) Children

Services may be used by minors (for example Minecraft). If you believe a minor has provided personal data in a way that should be removed, contact us at alex@nordlabs.dev.

9) Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as the project grows (for example if we add accounts, analytics, payments, or new services). Changes take effect when published on this page.

Heads-up: If you later add analytics, embeds (YouTube/Twitch), a login system, donations/payments, or a contact form, this privacy policy should be updated to match what actually happens.

Cookies

Short and honest. No fake banners.

At this time, we do not intentionally set cookies for tracking or advertising. If we later introduce features that require cookies (for example login sessions or embedded third-party media), we’ll update this page accordingly.

Note: some providers (for example Discord or other third-party platforms) may use their own cookies when you visit their sites.

Terms of Service

Rules for using NordLabs services and community spaces.

1) What this is

NordLabs is a personal project. Some services are experimental and may change or disappear without notice.

2) Acceptable use

By using our services, you agree that you will not:

  • abuse, harass, or threaten others
  • attempt attacks (DDoS, exploitation, scanning, credential stuffing, etc.)
  • scrape, crawl, or hammer endpoints in ways that degrade service
  • cheat, grief, or intentionally disrupt gameplay and community spaces (where applicable)
  • use the services for illegal activities

3) Enforcement

We may restrict or block access (including bans) to protect the project, community, and infrastructure, especially in cases of abuse or attacks.

4) Availability and changes

We don’t guarantee uptime. Maintenance, incidents, and changes will happen. Features and endpoints may be modified, moved, or removed.

5) Third-party services

Some features depend on third parties (for example Trucky or Discord). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies, not ours.

6) Disclaimer

Services are provided “as is” without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data, lost progress, downtime, or damages caused by misuse, attacks, or outages.

7) Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden.

8) Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the project evolves. Changes take effect once published on this page.

Contact

Discord
Community access is provided via Discord. (Link it from your main site if you want it public.)
If you need something removed (logs, identifiers, or community content), email us with enough detail to locate it. If it’s about a third-party platform (Trucky/Discord), we can help point you in the right direction, but they control their own data.
